Manager-In-Training
Are you ready to step into shop leadership with hands-on guidance from day one? The Manager-In-Training program begins with a focused, two-week paid training experience where you’ll learn the fundamentals of running a modern, technology-enabled auto repair shop. You’ll cover customer service, workflow management, sales processes, team leadership, and daily operational systems.
If you successfully complete training, you’ll be placed at one of our existing Stress-Free locations as a Manager in Training, where you’ll continue developing under experienced leaders. With consistent performance and strong leadership ability, MIT graduates can grow into General Manager roles, leading their own $1–3M shop and driving real impact.
Fast Track Leadership Program
Are you an experienced leader from retail, hospitality, food service, or another fast-paced customer-facing industry? The FastTrack Leadership Program is built for high-initiative young professionals who already know how to manage people, drive performance, and deliver great service. Like the MIT track, you’ll begin with a two-week paid training program where you’ll learn the core systems, workflows, customer experience standards, and leadership expectations of running a Stress-Free shop.
Upon successful completion, you’ll be placed as a Manager in Training, but on an accelerated path. FastTrack candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and operational excellence can progress into a General Manager role within 6 months, leading one of our $1–3M auto repair shops.

Manager in Training
BUILD A CAREER NOT JUST A JOB

You’ll learn how to run a modern, tech-enabled auto repair shop — from leadership and scheduling to workflow and customer experience.
Finish Year 1 and you’ll receive $25,000 in student loan forgiveness, plus you’ll be eligible for 401(k) + 3% match after your first six months.
YEAR 1
YEAR 2

You’ll step into your first shop as the full owner of the P&L. You’ll lead a team of technicians and advisors, manage performance, oversee scheduling, and drive customer satisfaction — all while being eligible for monthly performance bonuses.
Complete Year 2 and earn an additional $25,000 in student loan forgiveness

With strong performance, you’ll begin overseeing two shops. You’ll coach Assistant GMs, mentor new Managers in Training, and play a key role in developing future leaders while driving performance across multiple locations.
YEAR 3
YEAR 4

You’ll take on several shops including new and flagship locations with unlimited earning potential based on shop performance. You’re now operating like an entrepreneur, with all the upside of growth.
YEAR 5

You’ll lead a district of 4-6+ shops, guiding GMs, supporting performance, and shaping regional operations. You’ll work directly with the Head of Operations, making strategic decisions and driving multi-million-dollar results.

FastTrack Manager Training
MONTHS 1-6

You’ll start strong in a real shop, learning operations, KPIs, workflow, scheduling, and customer experience while supporting the General Manager. You’ll develop frontline leadership skills and learn what it takes to run a $1M–$3M Stress-Free location.
You’ll also become eligible for 401(k) + 3% company match after your first six months.
YEAR 1

By the end of your first year, FastTrack candidates can step into a General Manager role, leading their own $1M–$3M shop. You’ll take full ownership of the P&L, scheduling, team leadership, technician/advisor coaching, and daily operations — plus earn monthly performance bonuses tied directly to shop success.

You’ll coach multiple GMs, guide day-to-day operations across locations, drive KPI consistency, and shape team culture at scale. This is where your leadership impact becomes regional — and where earning potential grows significantly as you influence multiple P&Ls and mentor the next generation of managers.

You’ll lead a district of 6+ shops, guiding GMs, supporting performance, and shaping regional operations. You’ll work directly with the Head of Operations, making strategic decisions and driving multi-million-dollar results.

Hit your 10-year mark and Stress-Free will invest in your family’s future by contributing $25,000 per year for four years (up to $100,000) toward your child’s college education.
